Poor Jas. She loves getting her teeth cleaned at the dentist's office and loves keeping them bright each night at home. She's always loved brushing teeth. It's too bad, her teeth likes to dance in all different directions...
Look at how her adult teeth are coming in? We've been informed that we need to do something about her teeth now, to enable her future teeth coming in to have enough room to grow. She will be getting a myobrace/retainer thinga-ma-jigy thing put into her mouth soon.

First Baby Tooth Came Out - Jules
For the past week, Jules has been wiggling her tiny bottom front teeth because there is a huge adult tooth poking out from behind. After all the wiggling, the first baby tooth came out! She was so proud. The second baby tooth popped off a week later.

Speaking Contest - Piu Ying - Jas (video)
Jas decided last minute to enter into the speaking contest at Piu Ying Mandarin school. This was the first year for this type of contest so I didn't know what to expect. The contest took place in a medium sized room that could probably fit about 50 people. As more and more people showed up, I realized more than 50 kids were going to perform. And with family members attending, the room was jam packed like crazy. You could barely move.
Because the speeches were short (less than a minute long), everyone was finished in an hour. They had trophies for the top 3 contestants and 7 honorable mentions. Jas was terrific. She came in 8th place! Above is the video of her speech (Twinkle twinkle little star). Keep up the great work!

Victoria Fun - Girls Trip
It was Easter weekend and I had 2 stat holidays off from work and the girls also didn't have to go to school so we thought it'd be a perfect getaway to visit Victoria. R had to work so he couldn't come along and I wasn't about to take all 3 kids on my own. So it was just me and the girls.
On the way to the ferry terminal, I thought I timed everything perfectly...until I found R's cell phone in the car! So that meant that I had to drive all the way back home to deliver this cell phone to the owner and then restart the trip again. Wasted about 15 minutes. And because of that, we missed the 4pm ferry. Boo.
Luckily there were sailings every hour so we didn't have to wait long. The ferry was not busy at all so the girls ran around in the play area as they pleased. By the time we got over to Win's place, it was almost bed time so we did the bedtime routine and they were in bed by 9:30pm. YJ, Win and I spent the rest of the evening yapping and drinking wine. I spilled wine all over my shirt and didn't bother cleaning it since it was a sleeping shirt (guess what though? The shirt came out completely clean after a normal wash!).
The next morning, Auntie Win took K, J and J to the park nearby. It was so sunny but so COLD...brrrrr. All 3 kids had a great time soaking up the sun. Uncle YJ cooked a healthy congee for lunch. We couldn't go out to eat since the girls had all these food allergies. Thanks YJ for cooking!
After lunch we met up with Gong Gong and Po Po for a small bite to eat at Wendys. Technically we just hung out. We also visited Great Po Po at the cemetery on the way to the ferry terminal. We were slow to go and missed the ferry so bought fruit smoothies from McDs to enjoy while we waited. It was a terrific trip.

Food Allergies Again
It looks like both Jas and Muimui have major food allergies again. They were doing so well in the food department up until September last year, corresponding to the start of school. They both have persistent mouth rash that won't go away.
We went to the allergist and these are the foods he found they are sensitive to:
Beeps - tomato, corn, egg white, dairy, shellfish, crab, sesame, gluten, pork, cantaloupe, honeydew, mushrooms, strawberry, msg, artificial colors (including caramel)
Muimui - corn, egg white, dairy, shellfish, garlic, pork, msg, artifical colors
They are now drinking goat's milk every day and they seem to take that fine. I'm happy that even Daidai is now drinking goat's milk so that's an improvement. So no candies or chocolates or popcorn for any of them. It's so sad for them.

Piano Recital
Both Jas and Jules were excited today, as they will be doing their piano recital performance at the community center. They both practiced very hard and memorized all their pieces.
(video) I took a video of them but the room was too dark so I'm just uploading the sound track. Jules played 2 songs and Jas played 3. Great work Girls!
