Maddie's Bday Party

 

Maddie turned 2 today and we were invited over for a surprise get together.  The theme was Elmo and the kids got to decorate cookies and add all the toppings they wanted.  It was like a tiny cookie with tons of chocolate and candies on top.  They had a blast.  Auntie Cheryl even made Elmo cupcakes... yum!  Happy Birthday Maddie.

 

Jas - Completes Kindergarten (video)

First year in elementary school - all done!  Jas had her kindergarten graduation party today and the room was filled with excited parents, including me.  The principal did a speech, then the kids sang some songs, then a powerpoint presentation of the kids and then the presentation of certificates.  Everything was very organized.

Jas seemed to have a great time until she realized... that her name was written in GREEN on the cert!  Then she broke down crying, even with a chocolate cookie in her hand.  She really wanted her name to be written in BLUE.  Poor girl.  She can get so upset and emotional about colors.  One day, she will realize that a color is just a color!   Here is a quick snapshot of the day:

 

Father's Day (video)

It's Father's Day today and the kiddies surprised Daddy with a hand-made card and remote control toy.  We wanted to make him breakfast in bed too but Mommy thought it was too much work (because we didn't make the card or wrap the present until that morning).  Oops, bad Mommy.

Finally - Our New Patio Set!

I've been eyeing a patio set since we moved in last summer and due to budget (mortgage comes first) we never did purchase it.   We wanted something that will last at least 5 years and not rust so we knew we wanted aluminum framing.  It had to be smallish in size but still fit the 4 of us comfortably, assuming the kids will sit with us on the deck.

We saw the Bellan patio set from Costco go on sale this week and quickly made the purchase.  It delivered in 1 box (yup, 1) and took Rich about 2 hours to put it all together.  It was comfortable and suited our needs.  We added a couple of extra pillows to liven up the color.  Hopefully it'll hold up to our daily deck visits over the summer.

At 28 Weeks Pregos

I haven't taken any pics of my baby bump for this pregnancy...probably because I looked like I was 5 months pregnant when I was only 1 month.  The belly just wasn't cooperating and there was no hiding it.  

Here I am, at 28 weeks now.  For some reason, the bump in the pic looks smaller than in real life.  I swear, it's huge!  I'm measuring 6 weeks larger than where I am supposed to be.  I'll update every 4 weeks and see how large it gets near the end.
