Is it a fish? Dolphin? Whale? That shower cap, I have no clue what it is supposed to be. Julia loves wearing it though and it only fits her tiny head. Poor Jas - she maintains her big head from birth and wears a regular adult shower cap.

Fastest Time - US Customs
Today must have been the fastest time on record, to cross the US border at the X crossing. We planned to go to the US this weekend because we wanted to use up our Kohl's $50 cash card (expired). We were told even though the cash card is expired, they will still honour it, however, we didn't want to wait too long after the expired date.
Anyways, this was the week when the bridge collapsed on the I-5 highway. We had thoughts to just forget about the trip but... no, it's worth $50! So we are going to give it a shot.
We could not believe it. We drove from the highway, directly into one of the customs officer's booths! Zero wait. We crossed the border in less than a minute. COOL!
PS - Kohl's accepted our expired cash card, no issues. Made it home with $168 worth of goodies tax free.

Jas the Weather Girl
Jas has been really interested in the weather lately. They must have learned something in school. Any chance she gets, she will ask to watch the weather on TV or on our cell phones. She can watch the weather channel for an hour... She is very creative and drawing pictures all the time. Here's a pic I really like with her favorite angry birds:

Kesler's 3rd Birthday Party - at the beach!
We celebrated Kesler's 3rd birthday today at the beach. Both the kiddies were looking forward to it, always yapping about the sand and water. The day was cloudy, a bit chilly with wind, but no rain (yay!). The kids enjoyed some pizza and salad, then digging in the sand looking for treasures (blocks and cars), and the pinata with lollipops. And finally, the cake! Yummy chocolate with cactus candies. What more can you ask for. Thanks Auntie Wrency and Uncle Rick for inviting us out.

New Bunk Bed
We've been trying to figure out how to arrange the girls sleeping situation, seeing that #3 is on his way. We knew we wanted to keep the toy room for a few years longer (can't stand seeing all the toys in the living room). And we need the baby room for the baby. So that means, Jas and Jules will have to share a room.
We finally decided on a bunk bed configuration, a double bed on the bottom and single bed on top. We spent the entire afternoon today putting the bunk bed together. Take a look. There is no bed on top or ladder yet, as we don't want the girls to play on it.

TOO LOUD! New Vitamix
It's TOO LOUD... the girls say.
We went to the US last weekend to pick up some expensive Mother's Day gifts that Richard bought for me - a new Vitamix and Dyson vacuum cleaner. Nice presents...TWEET! Those were the things he wanted...
Anyways, we've been test driving the Vitamix every day this week, making fruit and veggie smoothies. This is where the girls keep on screaming "IT'S TOO LOUD!" and covering their ears.
I must say, the smoothies taste pretty darn good. We use fresh fruit, veggies, ice and just itty bitty amount of juice then blend away. Does it taste like $600 good? Hmmm, dunno. It's worth it in the long run though.
