Grandma Leung Turns 105!

I can't believe it!  Grandma Leung turned 105 this weekend.  Wow!  Can you imagine being 105?  That is amazing.

Although Grandma Leung is old and has to maneuver in a wheelchair, she's still got some kid in her.  Like when we were taking pics and she made a whack into my face.  Shocking...yes.  But it didn't hurt at all.  And how she likes eating crunchy things even though she has no teeth.  She really does enjoy her food.  I think she really liked having company and people taking her out for dinner.  Happy Birthday Granny!

We also obtained letters of congratulations from the Queen Majesty and the Governor General of Canada.  I believe the last time we had these was when Grandma Leung turned 100.  It's so nice that the government offers these types of letters.

Football! BC Lions Game

We were super lucky to win 5 football tickets in a draw from a Network that our family recently joined.  It was totally last minute and we had to rush home after work on a Friday (not a bad thing really).  This is our first time going to a football game, BC Lions vs Calgary Stampeders.  We were in section 231, row NN at BC Place and this is the view we got.  What a great view!

We had to leave before the game ended at 9pm since the kids still needed to shower and go to bed.  Everyone had a fabulous time.

Lo Ye's Bday

Happy Birthday to Ye Ye!  It seems we have more and more people eating the cake but the cake remains the same size each year.  It looks so small in front.  But actually, there was enough cake for everyone since the kiddies can't eat it.

Daidai's 3rd Birthday Party (video)

My goodness, little Daidai just turned 3!  He's such a big boy now.  We wanted to celebrate his birthday with a huge bash so we invited all our friends to Funky Monkey in Surrey for an awesome celebration.

We ordered lots of food:  3 Dominos pizza, 2 noodle dishes from Kent's Kitchen, chicken wings from Mui Garden, cake and fruit platter from Costco, homemade mac and cheese and chocolate cupcakes that was free of gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, and nuts.  Can you tell I'm writing all this down so I can remember for the next party?  There was also juice boxes and chips.

We had a private party room for 2 hours and then everyone migrated out to the public area after that.  All guests could stay as long as they wanted in the play area.  We bought extra ride bracelets for the kids who wanted to do rides.  Here's a peek at how well Daidai did on his first ride...

He was sooooo scared.  Sad Mommy just wanted to hold him after he came off so that he'd feel secure again.  Poor fella.  He loved playing in the ball pit area and refused to step near those rides at all for the rest of the party.  He was even too scared to go down the slides too...boo.  Oh well.  I'm sure in a few years time, he'll do just fine on rides.

Unfortunately, as with most hosts at parties, I forgot to take a large group pic of everyone there.  Dang!  We had over 40 people attend the party.  I will try to remember next time.  Happy bday Daidai!

So Sad... a Wasp Sting and Sun Burn

Mui mui had a bad day at day camp today.  She got her first wasp sting!  (bandaid in pic)

It was slip-and-slide day at Killarney day camp (where they put a long plastic tarp on the grass, pour soap on and spray water all over it).  I always give the girls sunblock and a UV shirt to take with them each day to camp.  Unfortunately today, Muimui forgot to put her UV shirt on.  So she got quite burnt today.  Good thing Jas had her UV shirt on.

And because Muimui forgot her UV shirt, she felt something fluttering by her side but didn't know what it was so she swat at it.  And it was a wasp!  She got stung.  (insert unhappy face).  Apparently, she screamed and cried and cried.  Poor Muimui.
