Tweet - Badminton Accident

Never thought this would happen.  Poor Ah tweet tore his achilles tendon on his right foot while playing badminton.  This was his second time playing during lunch hour.  Well, I guess his body just wasn't ready for all that exercise and now he has to rest for many months.

The good thing, he gets to ride around in a cart while shopping at Costco.  Everyone like moves out of the way so that he can get by.  Makes the shopping trip go quickly.

Fast forward a few weeks, it is now June 21, he finally had surgery.  This is what it looks like.  Poor Tweet.

Lisa's Bridal Shower - All Day Event

Today is a LADIES day, where we pamper the greatest females in the LEUNG family.  Our baby sister Lisa is getting married in a few weeks so we are celebrating her bridal shower today.  Boy, did we have tons planned.  The quick run down of events include the following:

9am - Lynn Canyon Twin Falls hike
11:30am - La Petite Cuillere high tea
2pm - Tantra pole dance lessons
4pm - Bridal Shower - Hannah's condo
7pm - Dinner at Al Porto Ristorante
10pm - Aura Night club

It was a jam packed day and we managed to fit everything in!  Timing-wise, it was perfect.  At the clubs, I haven't been here before (which isn't surprising since I haven't stepped into a club in like 5 years).  One of the DJ boys bought the entire group of girls champagne!   Lisa was dancing in DJ booth.  It was really cool.  The night ended with our best bro in the world...Hermo drove us home at 12:45am.

Kesler's Bday Party

Today we celebrated K's birthday at Auntie W's house.  It was a special birthday because there's going to be animals involved.  Look how brave Auntie W is...with that huge spider on her shoulder!

And Kes just had a smile on face even when they put that long snake on his neck!  I can't believe it.  And to top it off, we got to eat a snake cake!  Everyone had a great time.  Thanks for having us.  

Mother's Day cake

Yum, yum, yum - another Mother's Day cake to be eaten.  I think our family loves having all these special dates every month to celebrate and we can all have cake.  Happy Mother's day to all the Moms out there.

Cousin K Visits Us

Cousin came over for a quick visit this weekend.  We were running around and around inside the house, until Mommy said "that's enough!"  And then we all walked to MacCorkindale school and played in the playground.  It was raining for many days but it was a clear day today.

Whistler Getaway (video)

It was spring break and Uncle Jack was super duper nice to offer a visit at his Whistler cabin.  We stayed for 3 nights.  Daidai has never been up here before and had his very first swim at the community rec center.  The rest of the time, we hung out at the village, playing at the playground, in the snow and sliding on sleds.

On our way home driving back to Vancouver, we stopped at the Britannia Mine Museum, where you can ride on the tram to explore the real mine there as well as pan for gold.  Both Jas and Jules got some real gold!

Happy Bday Joowa!

It's Muimui's bday celebration today.  She turns 7!  Growing up so fast although she still maintains her baby face.  Since the bday day landed on the weekend and we wanted her class to celebrate with her, I made some fish cake pops to take to school.  We made a few extras just in case and they were all eaten!

Allergy Confirmed

Josh went to the allergist today to test for his nut and cat allergy.  This is what his little arm looked like after 15 minutes...he's allergic to all of them!  The circles represent:

Right top to bottom: almond, peanut, saline (control), histamine (control), cat

Left top to bottom: pistachio, walnut, pecan, hazelnut, cashew

So sad.  We were so happy when he tested negative for nuts when he was 1.5 years old but now, it looks like he is super allergic to all nuts.  He also inherited my allergy to cats.  We will have to do a blood test to confirm.
