Second Tooth Gone
In a weeks time, Jas lost her second tooth. So quick! We can already see the new tooth poking out and it's a huge one. This one tooth takes the space of 2 tiny baby teeth. Hmmm, not sure what the future brings for her mouth but I can foresee some orthodontics needed.

Fighting at School
Well, it's happened again, another phone call from the teacher at Jas' school. Apparently Jas got into a fight with 2 boys! There was hitting and biting involved. Not completely sure who hit and who bit but the incident was good enough to warrant a principal's visit. Oh Jas, when will you learn? I can see trouble coming our way...

Lost A Tooth!
Well, she proved me wrong. Three days later, the tooth came out already! She was eating an apple and after the second bite, the tooth came out. And it didn't even hurt. How lucky is that?
Looking closely, I can already see her new tooth growing in. It's a large white bump in the gums. Jas is becoming an adult already - 1 adult tooth!

Josh - 8 Months
Another month passed. Josh is now 8 months old and weights 20.4lbs according to our scale at home. He didn't gain weight at all this month but it's expected since he just started solids. He doesn't eat much, actually he hardly eats at all but we still offer him 2 meals a day. Some days, we'd be lucky if he takes in 1 bite.
Josh is more clingy lately. He will start whining if we leave him alone even for a few minutes. The little guy just likes company. I guess there's not much to entertain him when he's lying on the ground. Hope he will crawl soon. PS - we recently bought new Dutailier glider/recliner and he loves swaying in it.

Across the Floor He Goes!
Just a week ago, Josh started to push off on his arms. And now, he's scooting across the floor!
I had to pump milk so I left Josh on his play mat in the living room. When I came out, he was in the middle of the living room! I guess we better baby proof all the rooms now. It's MUCH MORE FUN to scare mommy and have her search around the house looking for a baby.

Push Ups and Friends
Josh is now rolling and pushing up on his arms. He hates doing push ups but it's so good for him. I can see him getting stronger each day. Here are a few of pics of him: working out and hanging out with all his doll buddies (until they fell on top of him):

First Foods - Josh
After hitting the 6 month mark, we've been introducing Josh to his first solid foods. He is very interested in what we eat and tends to grab at whatever we have in our bowl/plate. We are now giving him oatmeal and some veggie/fruit each day. So far, he's tried: apple, pear, sweet potato, carrot, banana, oatmeal and rice cereal. Oh yeah, and peas. He hates peas with a passion.
He doesn't like purees too much either so pushes the spoon away. Because he hates us using a spoon, we gave him his first baby mum today. Look how happy he is chomping away at it. We also tried giving him broccoli and he liked it. Too bad he gagged and then vomited it all out. We'll keep on at it though.

Josh - 7 Months and 4 Teeth
Josh is now 7 months old and his 4th tooth just popped out. I can't believe he's got so many teeth already. He went for his shots today (2 shots) and he was a good boy. He only whimpered and screamed for a minute and he was done. Here are his stats:
Weight - 9.1kg (20lb exactly) - 75% percentile
Head - 45cm (17.7 inches) - 75% percentile
Length - 71.5cm (28 inches) - 75% percentile
So it seems his weight gain is slowing down (thank goodness) and he's growing on the 75% line. Josh still hasn't rolled yet but the doc doesn't seem concerned. His next check up will be at 9 or 10 months.
