Ultrasound - It's a boy!

With much excitement, we had our ultrasound today and everything looks A-ok.  The tech also told us that we are expecting... a boy!  Yay!  He was not shy about showing his manly bits.  We can finally go through our closets and start donating and clearing things out.

BB boy, we await your arrival!

Grand Canyon in Vegas

Tonight is our final night in Vegas.  We had a rough start to the trip, as our flight on Sunday morning was cancelled and we were scheduled for a morning flight on Monday.  We got a free night in Bellingham.

Since we've been to Vegas many times before, there were only a few things on our itinerary for this trip such as visiting the pool at Mandalay Bay.  They have a man-made beach and wave pool which people rave about.  It was fun and I'm sure the kids would love it if we came back here with them.

We also took an excursion to see the Grand Canyon South., where we took a 5-hour bus ride there and back, and spent about 3 hours at the canyon.  It was a long day but worth it.  Here are some pics:

Unfortunately, we weren't lucky this trip in the gambling department... Til next time Vegas...

Boundary Bay Park and Beach

We enjoyed a nice sunny day today at Bounday Bay Park and Beach, in Delta.  It was a far drive, almost to the ferry terminal.  The park was awesome though and worth the drive.  There was a huge playground area for kids and right next to it is the beach.  Kiddies spent about 3 hours jumping, running, throwing rocks into the water.  (Click on pics to enlarge)

Afterwards, we headed to Auntie Emily and Uncle Thang's place for a bbq.  From left to right:  Madeleine, Julia, Tyberius, Maximus, Jasmine, Markus, Benjie.

Finally a Sunny Day at the Park

The rain went away!  Finally, the kids can go outside to the park.  We spent an hour at Central Park in Burnaby.  It was busy there; I guess all the parents wanted to take advantage of the sun too.

Lounging Around

It's been raining so much that we often spend the afternoon indoors at home.  Here is a shot of the kiddies watching TV on a boring afternoon.  How can they be comfortable sitting like that?

I can't remember what we were doing that day (probably grocery shopping) but we were out and about and both kids fell asleep in the car.  So exhausted....

Julia Turns 3! (video)

It's Julia's 3rd birthday today and we didn't have a big party this year.  On the weekend, we wanted to go to Fun4Kids at Aberdeen center to celebrate, which is a huge play center for kids, but she wanted to eat eggs for breakfast so we went to Ikea for the $1 breakfast (includes eggs, hashbrowns and sausage).  And then she was just tall enough to go into the kids play area so she went in for the very first time.  She had a blast.  She was jumping in and out of the ball pool (pool with balls) and didn't even want to leave, until I bribed her with an ice cream cone.

Her favorite dessert right now is ice cream, so for her birthday cake, we had to get her an ice cream cake with ice cream cones on top.  Look at her happy smile!

Chinese New Year Parade

It was the first weekend after Chinese new year and there was a parade taking place in Chinatown so we decided to head out to we watch it.  We got there 30 minutes before the start time and had to drive around and around to find parking.  We finally found a spot 3 blocks away.

We found a great spot, right in front so the kids had unblocked view.  The kids loved it, every time someone was giving away red pockets or candy or toys, they ALWAYS handed one to Julia first and then Jas next.  They got all the goodies!  Perks of being cute I guess.  We stayed for over an hour and got hungry and tired.  We then walked to Floata for some dim sum.  We saw the "CHOI SUN" just as we walked to the car and we had to get a pic with him.  The kiddies are going to be lucky this year...
